Behind the Aruba Dance Experience is a passionate team with years of experience in dance events, entertainment, hospitality, and international community building.
Founded by Anthony Mezas, the vision of Aruba Dance Experience was created to bring people together through dance, culture, travel, and authentic island connection.
Anthony’s journey in the international dance industry began in Europe through the creation of Salsacommunity.com in 2004, which grew into one of the best-known Latin dance platforms in the Netherlands during that period. Through years of involvement in festivals, congresses, social events, media coverage, and international collaborations, a strong network and deep understanding of the global dance community was built.
After returning to Aruba in 2007, Anthony founded Aruba Dance Studios in 2017, which has since become one of the island’s leading Latin dance organizations. Through weekly socials, classes, workshops, private lessons, and entertainment experiences, Aruba Dance Studios has connected locals and visitors from all over the world through music and dance.
The Aruba Dance Experience journey officially started in 2021 with a small one-day dance event featuring instructors from Aruba, Curaçao, and the Netherlands. Despite limited international promotion, the event already attracted visiting dancers and tourists who participated in workshops and social activities.
In 2022, the concept expanded into the first international multi-day edition, welcoming instructors from the United States, Caribbean, South America, and Europe. The event welcomed approximately 80 international visitors and reached more than 1,600 local attendees across the weekend’s activities and experiences.
A following edition in 2023 continued to strengthen the international community, attracting guests from multiple countries while maintaining the intimate and welcoming atmosphere that became part of the ADE identity.
Today, Aruba Dance Experience continues evolving into more than just a dance event. The vision is to create a boutique island experience where dance, happiness, travel, culture, and meaningful human connection come together in a unique way.
By combining international dance culture with authentic Aruba vibes, local hospitality, hidden gems, and unforgettable social experiences, Aruba Dance Experience aims to position Aruba as a leading destination for dance tourism in the Caribbean.
